Barnum - Denver, CO

The Barnum neighborhood joined the Sustainable Neighborhoods program in February 2015. The neighborhood includes both Barnum and Barnum West, encompassing the area bounded by Sheridan Boulevard to the west, Federal Boulevard to the east, 6th Avenue to the north, and Alameda Avenue to the south.

Welcoming Barnum
Making sure all neighbors voices are heard by: celebrating of diversity; welcoming new neighbors; identifying and creating community gathering spaces

Envision Barnum
Preparing for Barnum's new neighborhood plan by: proactively working together and gathering input from all residents on what we envision for Barnum's future

Beautiful Barnum
Making Barnum's environment beautiful by: increasing tree canopy; cleaning up Weir Gulch, Barnum Lake, and Barnum Park; increasing recycling rates and reducing litter

Healthy Barnum
Improving aspects of Barnum that impact residents' health: any enhancements to Lowell Street Garden, development of orchard/food forest next to Lowell Street Garden, sidewalk audits, food distribution through Barnum Market Days, and walking trips.
