Sustainable Neighborhoods Program
Your neighborhood. Your ideas. Your home.
The City of Sedona's Sustainability Department is launching the Sustainable Neighborhoods Pilot Program. We will soon be taking applications for two separate neighborhoods for our first pilot year. Review this information to learn what makes a good application. Sedona's full-time residents are highly encouraged to apply when applications are made available after the Informational Open House set for February 5, 2024. This open house will give residents a chance to learn about the program, ask questions, hear the mayor give remarks, and interact with their fellow neighbors. Please keep an eye out on our city website, newsletters, newspaper and social media for upcoming program information. Neighborhoods that participate in this program will first develop a core leadership committee with their neighbors. The leadership committee will then plan and execute their own neighborhood projects, workshops, and learning sessions throughout the year(s) with guidance and support from experienced city staff to ensure your success! Neighborhoods are encouraged to engage as many of their neighbors as possible. Take a look at the Sustainable Neighborhoods Program brochure to view potential project ideas! All neighborhood activities must fall under five key categories of Energy, Land, Air, Water, and People. Neighborhoods will receive in-person recognition by City Council, recognition on the city website, and may also have a sign constructed outside your neighborhood highlighting your efforts!
